History is introduced in the first paper of the GS mains, along with the Prelims Exams.
In mains exams, along with GS, essays are often asked about history.
There are 15 to 20 questions in each year in Prelims.
In the first paper of Mains, there are about 120 questions out of 250.
It has a huge contribution as an optional subject. By preparing for the optional, GS is automatically prepared.
It has an important contribution to the final selection.
In 2021, Shruti Sharma secured the all-India top rank with history optional.
